My favorite veggie brush is getting old & worn.. Before it gives its final goodbye, I decided to choose a new brush, so I can get acclimated before my favorite one finally retires. What I had was flexible and could go around shapes nicely, but not one I have found since. Why I chose this one.. I like OXO products, I liked this was a rubbery- grip (so figured easier to hold & handle). The rubbery grip definitely is easier to hold & handle (and don't tell my old favorite brush, but i do think I like this one better). the bristles are firm, so it does not take a lot of pressure to clean veggies (i.e. carrots/potatoes etc).. you can give a very gentle rub and it cleans them nicely (so not a lot of work/effort, great if you have arm/hand issues) while firm they still work nicely with more delicate items like peppers or thin skin items, with an even gentler touch. Very pleased!!

I decided to look on Amazon for a vegetable brush because the ones I bought in the store got used by my husband to wash pots and pans! This vegetable brush was perfect! As you can see by the picture, it doesn't look like you should be cleaning pans with it. I was concerned with the grip because it looks a little shiny in the picture... I thought it might be slippery plastic. It's not! It has a wonderful non-slip grip to it, and the bristles are firm; not too firm that it rips the peels off your veggies, though... just the dirt. I am SUPER happy with my purchase.

This brush is awesome!! I added some before and after photos of a potato I was scrubbing, and you can see how well the dirt comes off! Very sturdy and durable and the bristles are stiff which is optimal for cleaning. Easy to hold and does a great job. Definitely recommend!!

I had a tiny brush before that had a grasping surface much smaller and shaped/colored like a potato. The garbage disposal got it a couple of times and started to eat it, so I replaced it with this. This is large enough to not want to go down the disposal, which is good. The bristles are stiff, which is good for a potato or carrot, and it's got more of them so it scrubs a larger area faster than the stupid thing I had before. The large grip makes it easier to handle for sure.

Before I bought this I was scrubbing my veggies with a brush designed for dishes, and it did the job... but this is so much better. It's more ergonomic, since it's made to scrub veggies, and the bristles are stiffer so it does a much better job. And I don't have to worry that anyone else in the house has used my veggie brush to scrub the dishes.

This is the third of these great brushes I've bought. They are easy to hold on to and the bristles are soft enough to bend, but strong enough to scrub. Use it on a potato and compare to whatever you used before, this brush cleans better with less effort. I'm betting they'd last a lifetime if they didn't walk off or get partially melted (from landing on the dishwasher's heating element). Hoping to hang on to this one longer!

Awesome as an egg washing brush! Just use warm water, scrub, and air dry the eggs. If you are cautious, you can sanitize the brush in the dishwasher. I recommend setting the brush on its back, bristles up without obstruction, so they don’t bend. Will likely buy a second soon. Also a great veggie brush I’m sure, but I would NOT use the same brush for both eggs and veggies. You could pick up wax, pesticides, etc. from the veggies or fruit and transfer them to farm fresh eggs. Don’t do that!!!! YUCK

I got two OXO Veggie brushes at the same time. I know OXO to be a great brand, so I was expecting nothing but the best from both of them. I tested both brushes on sweet potatoes, which I like to eat skin-on, so intense scrubbing is required. The one brush was OXO's Natural Bristle Brush OXO Good Grips Natural Bristle Veggie Brush which just wasn't up to the task. Not only did it do a poor job cleaning, but it shed bristles all over the sink and my sweet potato. While the grip was made of material I would expect from OXO, it never felt comfortable in my hand. On the flip side, OXO's Good Grips Flexible Vegetable Brush's handle was made of the same material, but unlike the Natural Bristle Brush, it fits comfortably in the palm of my hand. I have an average-sized hand for a female, so it might feel out of place or disappear if you're a man with large hands. For comfort, durability and ability to get the job done, OXO's Good Grips Flexible Vegetable Brush wins.

Bought this for removing corn silk and doesn't work one bit for that. Scrub harder than just light scrubbing and you pop the kernels open. That's with fresh less-than-24-hrs-old corn on the cob. Maybe store-bought corn would be tougher. I still give it 5 stars, though, because it works well as a vegetable scrubber. I took a silver Sharpie and wrote on the black rubber handle: "Vegetable Brush" so that my husbands and our mothers wouldn't use it on dishes. Soft enough to be gentle but tough enough on dirt.

FYI: the bristles are flexible not the handle itself. it is made with soft rubber and is super easy to hold in your hand even when wet! It feels so comfortable, even for my wife who has arthritis in the hands. The bristles are firm enough to get the dirt off vegetables or potatoes, but not so firm that they damage the skins. It is super easy to clean with a little soap and warm water. Best veggie scrubber i have found to date. Two years later and the little scrubber still looks brand new!
